The new narrative of the Syrian war: a new twist

So now basically, the Free Syrian Army was about to take over the whole of Syria until the Russian forces showed up.  Damn those Russian forces. They denied Dr. Engineer General, Salim Idriss, a great victory.  "Russia and Syria unleashed a coordinated assault by land, air and sea on Wednesday, seeking to reverse recent gains by rebel groups that were beginning to encroach on the Syrian coast, a critical bastion of power for President Bashar al-Assad."  Also notice: the description of Russian show of force differs markedly from descriptions of US show of forces throughout the world. For some reason, US forces--unlike Russian forces--drop bombs and rockets far more humanely.
